We celebrate our nurses by honoring the work they do day-in and day-out at our hospitals. Awards are also given out at the division and enterprise level, ensuring not one act of service at our hospitals goes unnoticed.
Our hospitals host quarterly award ceremonies to spotlight nurses who embody our HCA culture and values. Multiple HCA TriStar Division facilities participate in the DAISY Awards, where one nurse is chosen and recognized in front of colleagues, physicians, patients, family and visitors.
HCA Excellence In Nursing
Each of our 19 HCA TriStar Division hospitals spotlights two of its outstanding nurses on an annual basis for compassionate care and professional mentoring.
Of the 38 nurses, one is selected to represent our division for the entire enterprise. This nurse embodies our compassionate, patient-centered care philosophy and ensures learning is of the utmost priority in the nursing practice.
HCA Unit of Distinction
The HCA Unit of Distinction Award is the highest honor an HCA hospital’s medical-surgical department can receive. The HCA TriStar Division has representation from multiple medical-surgical departments annually, demonstrating our commitment to exemplary nursing performance and putting patient safety first.
Pathway to Excellence Hospital
TriStar Summit Medical Center, a HCA TriStar Division facility located in Hermitage, Tennessee, is a designated Pathway to Excellence facility by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
TriStar Summit is one of two hospitals in the state of Tennessee and the only HCA facility in Tennessee to receive this national recognition for cultivating a work environment that makes policies, procedures and the culture of nursing one of its highest priorities.
